All I can say is The Boston Common Band was amazing. My wife and I got so much positive feedback from there performance. Everyone said by far the best band they have ever seen at a wedding and I agree! We had to hire Boston Common unseen do to my demanding graduate school schedule. Based on the information on there website (including videos) and the fact they are Berkley grads we decided on them. Their attention to detail during the preparation of our event insured us we made the right choice and we never had to worry. Then on the day of the wedding their performance just proved we made the right choice. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception took top priority. Quality music was especially important for us since some my husband's family and some of our friends are musicians - tough critics. We wanted the music to be lively and fun - songs that young and old know, but that aren't dated or cheesy; songs that would keep everyone on the dance floor all night; songs that would make the wedding a real party.
Because neither of us are from New England, all of our planning was remote. We never heard the Boston Common Band live before our actual wedding, but we did listen to them on YouTube. The clips don't do them justice. Simply put, the band and DJ were AMAZING! The dance floor was packed the entire night! They are all truly gifted musicians. One month later, our family and friends are still raving about it. According to everyone we talk to, the band was "out of this world,"and "an incredibly tight band" We agree! The band and DJ stuck to exactly what we wanted and created the most amazing playlists ever. They were so receptive to our thoughts and concerns leading up to the wedding. The lead singers learned Adele's version of "Make You Feel My Love" for our first dance and it came out so beautiful that a couple guests actually cried. They have an unbelievable level of talent for a relatively young group of individuals.
I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone that they book the Boston Common Band for a wedding. They really made our party wonderful and are a great value.

I could not recommend Boston Common Band more highly. We knew we wanted a band that was hip and fresh and energetic, and they were all those things and more. People were dancing all night long, which is just what we wanted, and tons of compliments were paid to the band. Moreover, the band listened to all our requests and adjusted to some of our particulars without a problem. They even did a fantastic Hava Nagila. :) You cannot go wrong with Boston Common Band!

I cannot stress this enough - Boston Common Band was absolutely out-of-this-world FANTASTIC. They were above and beyond our expectations on a wedding band. I would hire them again in a heartbeat for any event in the future. Some comments to highlight: They were young, professional, REALLY talented musicians/singers who really got the guests of ALL ages involved and dancing. Everyone commented how they were the BEST wedding band they have EVER heard. I loved how the singers would give shout outs to our flower girl and ring bearer and even got my dad on stage singing and dancing! They accommodated the groom to play his guitar with them for one song. All the music that was played was present-day dancing music for all ages. The singers interacted with us and made our wedding even more memorable. They are SOOOO worth every penny spent. I was so happy with their performance - they are one of the BEST vendors we went with.

Folks - you will NOT be disappointed. BOOK THEM NOW. They are amazing!!!

Boston Common Band was the perfect band for our wedding reception! We hired their pianist to play for our cocktail hour, and he did a wonderful job. From there, the DJ took over during the dinner, and he did a great job setting the mood for us. He even came up with a unique idea to do instead of having everybody clink glasses to get us to kiss. You'll have to ask them about that, as I won't give away their secret. After dinner, the band got to rocking! They were amazing, and had every one of our guests on the dance floor for the entire night! We didn't want the evening to end we were having so much fun, and we weren't the only ones. Ever since our wedding everybody has been telling us how much fun they had, and that was in no small part thanks to Boston Common Band and their excellent performance.

This band was truly wonderful. The vocals and instruments were perfect. They worked nicely with one another and I couldn't believe how well they honored our requests. The party ran very smoothly, their MC/DJ was great. Everything seemed so fun, relaxing and easy with this band. I made some random requests through out the night, and they just went with it. The DJ couldn't have been better, I spent a lot of my wedding feeling thrilled with how awesome Boston Common is. Don't waste your money on an any old wedding band. Boston Common provided all the good things that you would expect from a regular wedding band, traditional music etc., but also showed up with a set list that kept the entire party dancing for the duration of the reception. No need for the us to make our rounds to visit with each table as everyone could be found on the dancefloor. New music, even tunes that came out in the last month, were delivered with a very high level of quality. Simply put, after very careful review of our options, Boston Common was the clear choice with probably the best musical talent of any band in New England.

We had a fantastic experience with Boston Common playing at our wedding reception. The biggest thing... they are exceptional musicians and brought a tremendous energy to our reception. As soon as they started playing, EVERYONE got up and headed to the dance floor and seemed to stay there all night. Almost everyone I talked to afterwards mentioned to me how awesome the band was. They have a unique music list playing cool songs that everybody knows but aren't the same old cheesy "wedding standards". Finally, they were really easy to deal with as far as logistics and planning. Everything we asked them for, they came through with no problems. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have outstanding, high energy live music at their wedding reception. When you're planning a wedding, you are always worried about your guests having a good time. For us, as soon as Boston Common started playing, it was clear we didn't have to worry about that anymore.

Your singers are very talented. (There's nothing worse than a cheesy lead singer.) The lighting, that was a nice surprise. DJ Shyne's restraint from playing YMCA when it was requested. (We had asked him not to in advance.) He handled it very well too. I was extremely impressed at how much you were willing to work with us at the last minute. You never got defensive or confrontational. That was extremely professional of you and impressive. Your responsiveness to my emails prior to us booking you. I had emailed to see what times you were going on at certain bars (so we could see you play and make our decision) and you were prompt and accurate. Your music list, very diverse and great songs. Your willingness and ability to learn songs for us. I thought it was fantastic how you mingled with some of the guests and got comfortable. I really made me feel like you were having fun too. How easily each of you play your instrument. I'd swear you were running over the chords in the next song while you were playing the current song, it's so natural. Overall fantastic job, we were extremely happy. And our guests told us how much they enjoyed the band and how talented you are.

Wedding Bands are an inevitability. She wants a Dave Matthews tribute band, he wants his friend's metal band, but everyone knows that Mom ain't going for it. In the end the couple will acquiesce to Mom's wish for a handsome, sharp-dressed band that can nail Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson's "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love." But you still want a band that can get this party started, right? ... Just out of Berklee, Boston Common is that type of wedding band. It's members are all young and a little too talented. If you're new to weddings, you should know that booking a band a year in advance isn't uncommon.
