“Why should I care about the sound and lighting?”
A performance isn’t simply just about hiring musicians… It’s a complete production with many unseen items on the back end.
If you’re not able to hear the vocalists or certain instruments, or even see the band that’s entertaining you; You’re missing out on the key facets of a show. Any band that says otherwise, simply doesn’t want to make the best-effort.
Our Tour-Quality Sound & Lighting with dedicated crew.
Fine-tuned to keep the energy level bumpin’ on the dance floor, all while Grandma can still carry a conversation at her table.
Many bands attempt to have a musician manage their sound levels from the stage / behind the speakers, all while playing their instrument at the same time. From that position, it’s a guessing game.
Lighting may also be the most overlooked aspect of band performances.
Lighting can subconsciously make a huge impact on the energy, mood and atmosphere of the room. We program our lighting by-song.
Ballads will have soft blue/purple hues… Pop-Rock songs will take on warmer red/orange tones.
All lighting scenes are further enhanced with moving-head effect patterns on the ceiling and floor.
Our Wedding was like a rock concert.. And everyone had front row!
Live Videos, period. Yep, we’re for real… and don’t hide behind music videos with lip-sync’ed – studio corrected audio, with backup dancers and confetti flying from the ceiling. Come on… that doesn’t actually happen at a real wedding. What you see in our videos is the real, live performance that night. With the actual band members, and the sound & lighting system provided.
Speaking of which, beware of bands who don’t offer or have dedicated lineups. Many of these groups will book as many weddings they can under one, single band name. Then go down their “Rolodex” of musicians to patch the groups together. What and who you see online, may not be the actual band that shows up at your event.
Our bands all feature a set lineup of musicians, who play together each and every weekend. It not only forges a tight relationship onstage, but will also amp up the overall energy of the party.
Keepin’ it real for a minute… How many bands advertise and claim “We’re the best”. You can’t blame them, when websites like The Knot and Weddingwire hand out “Best of” awards like candy. Truth is, as long as you can get a certain amount of reviews on those websites, they’re happy to give you a shiny award for bringing web traffic to them. Brilliant marketing strategy!
Sure — it’s great to receive those awards… Though, what we’re truly honored by is the recognition we’ve received from websites / publications like Style Me Pretty, Borrowed & Blue, Boston Magazine, The Improper Bostonian, etc… These websites have editors who take the time to curate the best vendors in the area.. and we’re proud to say that we’ve been awarded by them all!
What are the things that you most remember from your friend / family member’s wedding? The most common response we hear is – “How Great the Party Was!”. In our experience, the two biggest ingredients that combine and cook-up a great party are : The Booze & The Entertainment!
On the flip, one of the most costly items when it comes to a wedding is the “Food”. We’re certainly not looking to diminish the importance of a phenomenal meal – we’ve seen and have been a part of some amazing dinners in the past. You’re likely to find most wedding plated-meals costing ~$90-100, and we’ve even seen surf n turf feasts of $150+ per person. Now consider the cost of an all-inclusive entertainment package, around the $8k mark…. With ~175 guests, that divides to $40-50 per person, for top-level entertainment that will make the party your friends won’t stop talking about.
“Put plainly, moving an extra ~$5 per person of your budget to entertainment, can be the difference between a hiring “good” band, vs a “great” band!”
