A true performance goes far-beyond hiring a band of great musicians. The “Production” of the performance is just as valuable.
If you’re unable to clearly hear the vocalists or see the band because the lights aren’t programmed to correctly reflect the energy of the song; You’re missing out on the key ingredients of a great party. Any band that says otherwise, simply doesn’t want to make the best-effort to provide a comprehensive show.

Many bands attempt to have a musician manage their sound levels from the stage, and behind their speakers, all while playing their instrument at the same time. From that position, you can imagine the guessing game. Our production crew ensures everything will look and sound perfect!
Lighting may also be the most overlooked aspect of band performances.
Lighting makes a huge impact on the mood, energy and atmosphere of the room. We program our lighting scenes on a song-by-song basis; Ballads will have soft blue/purple hues… Pop-Rock songs will take on warmer red/orange tones. All lighting scenes are further enhanced with moving-head effect patterns on the ceiling and floor. This is in contrast to many bands who simply put up a few lights, and let them flash and strobe random colors.

Many bands quotes only provide a 4 hour block. This doesn’t include a cocktail hour, and also leaves you hanging if you’re extending your reception to 6 hours… which then gets upcharged to you as “OT”. Our packages include complete reception coverage, including Cocktail Hour through Last Dance, for up to 6 hours! In short – we’ve got you on lock!

Live Videos, period. Yep, we’re for real… and don’t believe in spending money to hide behind lip-sync’ed videos with laser beams, backup dancers and confetti flying from the ceiling. That doesn’t actually happen at a wedding, right?
Our videos are filmed at actual live performances with real sound, mixed directly from the sound board. Additionally seen, are our sound & lighting systems and the musicians in our dedicated band member lineups!
Speaking of which, beware of bands who don’t offer or have dedicated lineups. Many of these groups will book as many weddings they can under one, single band name. Then go down their call list / “Rolodex” of musicians to patch various groups together. What and who you see online, may not be the actual band that shows up at your event.
Our bands all feature a set lineup of musicians, who play together each and every weekend. It not only forges a tight relationship onstage, it makes the overall performance better.
Keepin’ it real for a hot minute: How many bands advertise : “We’re the best of Boston” and have the same two or three badges as 15 other bands in town? Nothing wrong with wanting to display a shiny badge on your website; But candidly, the major wedding websites like hand out these awards like candy. Truth is, as long as you can get a certain amount of reviews on those websites each year, they’re happy to give you an award for redirecting the web traffic back to them. Brilliant marketing strategy!
Of course, it’s great to receive those badges, and we’ve also received along with other vendors… Though, we’re truly honored by the recognition we receive from websites / publications like Style Me Pretty, Borrowed & Blue, Boston Magazine, People Magazine, The Improper Bostonian, My Mystic Wedding, etc… These websites have editors who genuinely take the time to curate the best vendors in the area.. and we’re proud to say that we’ve been awarded by them all! Trust sources like these, who only award one-vendor per category per year.
What are the things that you most remember from your friend / family member’s wedding? The most common response we hear is – “How Great the Party Was!”. In our experience, the two biggest ingredients that combine and cook-up a great party are : The Booze & The Entertainment!
On the flip, one of the most costly items when it comes to a wedding is the “Food”. We’re certainly not looking to diminish the importance of a phenomenal meal – we’ve seen and have been a part of some phenomenally delicious dinners in the past. Added all up though, you’re likely to find most wedding plated-meals costing ~$90-100, and we’ve even seen feasts of $150+ per person. Now considering the cost of an all-inclusive entertainment package, around the $8k mark…. With ~175 guests, that divides to $40-50 per person, for top-level entertainment that will make the party your friends won’t stop talking about.
